My stay at Mercure was a blend of luxury and value, offering a prime location near Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City. The room was spacious and comfortable, albeit slightly dated. The highlight was the cloud-like beds and the serene swimming pool and saunas, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring bustling Beijing.The hotel also offers various services like car hire and airport shuttle, making it convenient for travelers. The breakfast spread was impressive, catering to diverse tastes, and the staff, including George the concierge, were helpful and English proficient.while Mercure may not be the most modern or economical option in Beijing, the balance between comfort, amenities, and location justifies the higher cost. For business travelers like me, it provided a peaceful retreat in the heart of the city, and the attentive service made the stay worth the investment.
